We will discuss pre-op precautions, such as stopping retinoids 3 days prior to procedure, and optimal post treatment care.
MicroLaser Peel: A Comfortable Treatment
This procedure is gentle, and a non-invasive laser. There is minimal discomfort. Our forced air-cooling device along with numbing cream applied 30 minutes prior to your procedure will improve the comfort of the procedure.
Patients often describe a slight stinging sensation in the treated areas. Most individuals find this to be very tolerable. There is no need for post-treatment pain medications after this procedure. Total time spent in the office will vary depending on the areas treated and patient response, standard time spent during a Micro Laser Peel is about 15 minutes.
MicroLaser Peel Results
Patients should expect reduction of fine lines, and significant reduction in pigmentation and sun spots. Gradual improvement in the areas of concern can be expected. Over 98% of our patient are healed in three days and can apply makeup and go out in public. This post op healing time is much faster than the CO2 Laser Peel which is 4-6 weeks, and often the CO2 Laser disrupts natural pigmentation because of its depth. The Pro-Fractional and Fractional lasers can have a downtime of 1-2 weeks, and the results do not compare to the Micro Laser Peel. Chemical Peels are an old fashion method, with a downtime of 7 days, which are also not as effective as a Micro Laser Peel.
